About Mount Fuji Climbing Tours: Miscellaneous Information
Accompanied by Professional Mountaineering Guides: What are Specialized Mountain Guides?
Specialized mountain guides for Mount Fuji who have received authorization from Fujiyoshida City.
Mount Fuji has an elevation of 3,776 meters. Despite being summer, there is a significant temperature difference,
with the temperature dropping approximately 0.6°C to 1°C for every 100 meters of elevation gain.
As a result, even in summer, the summit of Mount Fuji experiences temperatures comparable to winter.
With its high elevation, Mount Fuji is also prone to unpredictable weather changes, and as you ascend,
the slope becomes steeper. For beginners, it can be challenging to make decisions such as:
● Walking techniques and pace distribution
● Assessing whether to continue or abort the climb based on weather conditions
● Monitoring changes in physical condition, such as altitude sickness
These judgments can be extremely difficult for individuals to make.
To ensure that even beginners can enjoy climbing Mount Fuji with peace of mind, professional Mount Fuji guides accompany the tour.
They assist in assessing environmental changes and making decisions regarding safe climbing pace for each individual.

What is the plan with the designated Eighth Station of Mount Fuji?
If you're challenging Mount Fuji, taking breaks at mountain huts is essential.
The Eighth Station of Mount Fuji refers to the point starting from the Fifth Station,
at an elevation of approximately 3,020 meters.
It serves as a crucial point for resting tired bodies and obtaining weather information during the climb.
Utilizing the mountain hut at the Eighth Station has significant advantages as it allows climbers to
fully rest before tackling the "steep slope" around the Ninth Station on the way to the summit,
where they can witness the magnificent sunrise ("goraikou").
