About Mount Fuji Climbing Tours: Miscellaneous Information

Accompanied by Professional Mountaineering Guides: What are Specialized Mountain Guides?

Specialized mountain guides for Mount Fuji who have received authorization from Fujiyoshida City.
Mount Fuji has an elevation of 3,776 meters. Despite being summer, there is a significant temperature difference,
with the temperature dropping approximately 0.6°C to 1°C for every 100 meters of elevation gain.
As a result, even in summer, the summit of Mount Fuji experiences temperatures comparable to winter.
With its high elevation, Mount Fuji is also prone to unpredictable weather changes, and as you ascend,
the slope becomes steeper. For beginners, it can be challenging to make decisions such as:
● Walking techniques and pace distribution
● Assessing whether to continue or abort the climb based on weather conditions
● Monitoring changes in physical condition, such as altitude sickness
These judgments can be extremely difficult for individuals to make.

To ensure that even beginners can enjoy climbing Mount Fuji with peace of mind, professional Mount Fuji guides accompany the tour.
They assist in assessing environmental changes and making decisions regarding safe climbing pace for each individual.

What is the plan with the designated Eighth Station of Mount Fuji?

If you're challenging Mount Fuji, taking breaks at mountain huts is essential. The Eighth Station of Mount Fuji refers to the point starting from the Fifth Station, at an elevation of approximately 3,020 meters. It serves as a crucial point for resting tired bodies and obtaining weather information during the climb. Utilizing the mountain hut at the Eighth Station has significant advantages as it allows climbers to fully rest before tackling the "steep slope" around the Ninth Station on the way to the summit, where they can witness the magnificent sunrise ("goraikou").

● Favorable for attacking the summit of Mt. Fuji! Eighth Station Mountain Huts on Mount Fuji Climbing Tour
Shirakumo-so... Elevation: Approximately 3,200m
Houraikan... Elevation: Approximately 3,150m
Ganso-muro... Elevation: Approximately 3,250m
Munetobi Edoya... Elevation: Approximately 3,400m
Fuji Mountain Hotel... Elevation: Approximately 3,400m

After having meals and rest to recover your energy, make another attack towards the summit of Mount Fuji from late at night. Conquering the final challenge of Mount Fuji climbing, the path from the Ninth Station to the summit, you will be rewarded with beautiful and majestic views.

Important Notes Regarding Mount Fuji Climbing Tours

* While optional, we kindly ask for your cooperation in paying the Mount Fuji entrance fee (conservation donation). (Payment should be made individually by each customer.) For detailed payment methods, please refer to the Yamanashi Prefecture website.
* Depending on traffic conditions, the departure time for the return trip and the arrival times at each destination may vary.
* The accommodations at the mountain huts will be shared dormitories with two levels, accommodating both male and female guests. Please note that the allocation per person may be less than 1 tatami mat in size.
* If you choose to stay at a mountain hut other than the designated one, the accommodation fee will be your responsibility, and there will be no refund of the tour price.
* Prior to departure, please undergo a health check. If you are elderly, have health concerns, have chronic illnesses, or have physical disabilities, please consult with a physician before participating.
* During peak times, it may be necessary to stay at a different mountain hut than the one specified. Please be aware of this in advance.
* In the event that the "Ohachi Meguri Option" is offered, the climbing groups may be rearranged into two groups for the Ohachi Circuit and descent, which means that the guide may differ from the one during the ascent.
* Especially during the climb, group coordination is crucial for safety. If you plan to deviate from the group, please inform the guide clearly before doing so.
* The guide will also accompany the descent. While leading the way up to the junction point of the descent path, the guide will provide support from the rear thereafter. (Full support will be provided from the Fifth Station to the summit.)
* This tour will proceed even in rainy weather; however, in case of inclement weather or other circumstances, the guide may decide to cancel the climb. (In such cases, there will be no refund.)
* In the event of cancellation due to weather or other emergencies, we may need to contact you, so please make sure to provide us with your mobile phone number.
